Dear Pentathletes!

The 46th edition of our beloved event takes place in Grindelwald on the weekend of the 14. - 16. of March 2025. So mark this date in your calendar and start your preparations. For as always, we will compete in giant slalom, skijump, curling, cross-country skiing and swimming. After the successful introduction of a shorter giant slalom race last year, we have decided to keep this format. Furthermore it is our great pleasure to announce next year's honorary guest, downhill world champion

Bruno Kernen

Bruno is a renowned former Swiss alpine ski racer specializing in downhill and super-G. One of his greatest achievements came in 1997, when he won the gold medal in the downhill at the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Sestriere, Italy, and a bronze in the combined event. Among his World Cup highlights is his victory in the iconic Lauberhorn downhill race in 2003, one of the sport’s most challenging courses. Throughout his career, Bruno achieved two World Cup wins and 11 podium finishes, making him one of Switzerland’s most respected skiers. He also competed in three Winter Olympics, with a top result of 4th in the downhill at Lillehammer in 1994.

Since retiring from skiing in 2006, Bruno has had success in the business world, particularly in the ski industry. Until recently, he served as CEO of Anavon Skis, a Swiss manufacturer known for handcrafted, high-performance skis. His entrepreneurial skills and leadership helped the brand gain recognition for innovation and precision. Currently, Bruno is the managing director of Toko, a leading company in ski wax and tuning products. His deep understanding of the sport and business acumen ensure Toko continues to be a top player in the market. Through his entrepreneurial endeavours, Bruno remains a key figure in the world of alpine skiing.

We look forward to seeing you at the Pentathlon in Grindelwald!
